The girls played together like a real soccer team and kept the ball on the offensive side of the field much more than in previous games. They passed better and played strong defense against a very physical Briarwood team. Way to go! FREEDOM!

Lizzie at the Montgomery match.  She played well, with a hurt ankle.  Unfortunately Homewood Lady Freedom lost 2-1, and Saturday lost 8-1 to Auburn.

This weekend we have the Hoover Havoc tournament in Riverchase.  First game is Friday night at 6PM.  Saturday we play at 11:45AM.

I’m so proud of my girls. They finished in 2:47:49 or so. Lizzie beat her mom by one second. See below for a picture of the Ward team near the finish.

I had the Valentines Krispy Kremes ready at the finish line as is our custom. Next year, I’m going to run this too, so someone else will have to get the doughnuts.
